====== Extrapolate the trajectory ====== ===== Icon ===== {{:icon:extrapolation_icon.png?50|}} ===== How it works ===== This option lets you create rows at a given distance around an existing GPS track. The track can be linear or meandering. The option is only available **when at least one map is loaded in the application**. ===== Application ===== When the option is started, a window opens allowing you to : - Select the project to be extrapolated - Select the number of rows required * If the number of rows is even, the rows will be extrapolated around the original trace (i.e. half a distance on each side of the trace). * If the number of rows is odd, the central row will be located on the current trace and the other rows will be located at the distance entered in the parameters. - Select the desired inter-row distance {{ :en:extrapolation_window.png?400 |}} **Please note**: It's important to simplify the map before extrapolating it, to reduce calculation processing time. Example of a 3-row extrapolation with 80cm row spacing: {{ :main_toolbar:extrapolation_example.png?400 |}} The **E** keyboard shortcut also starts the tool.
