====== Simplifying the trajectory ====== ===== Icon ===== {{:icon:simplification_icon.png?50|}} ===== How it works ===== **Some tool functions are only available in expert mode** This option allows you to reduce the number of points on a map to avoid overly large map files, and to limit processing time when editing the map in EasyMapping. The option is only available **when at least one map is loaded into the application**. ===== Application ===== When the option is started, a window opens, allowing the selection of several parameters: * The map to be modified * The simplification algorithm * Distance tolerance between 2 points * Maximum time difference between 2 points after simplification A pre-setting is also available for **LOW** simplification. This Pre-Setting, entered by default, is **strongly recommended** to reduce the number of points without reducing the quality of robot guidance. {{ :en:simplification_window.png?400 |}} To start simplification, click on **SIMPLIFY**. **Warning**, selecting parameters other than the default ones may lead to over-simplification, which will reduce the size of the map but significantly impact robot guidance accuracy. {{ :main_toolbar:simplification_example.png?400 |}} The **S** keyboard shortcut is also used to start the tool.
