Polygonal selection

Like the rectangular selection, this option allows you to select a set of points for modification using another option (delete, move to another map…). However, this option allows you to make a finer selection by drawing a polygon instead of a rectangle.

This option is only available when at least one project is loaded into the application.

Once the icon has been triggered, the option works in several stages:

• Each brief click on the map draws a point on the polygon. The point is added after the previous ones, if any.
• Each time you click and hold on the map, you move the view on the map. This allows you to move around and zoom in on certain areas to select only the points you want.
• To close the polygon, simply select the first point of the polygon, or double-click anywhere. Once the polygon is closed, the selection is validated and all points inside the polygon are highlighted with a blue filter.

Once this filter has appeared, it is possible to use the options using these selected points:

• Deleting points
• Deletion with intersection
• Separating points in a new map
• Adding missing points

The p keyboard shortcut also starts the tool.
