Import a map
Icon
How it works
This option lets you load a map or GPS point file into EasyMapping by selecting a file.
Several file types are accepted by the application:
- Files extracted from Septentrio tags (xxx.211, xxx.221, xxx.231…)
- Projects saved by EasyMapping (xxx.project anciennement xxx.save.geojson)
- Exported maps for robots (xxx.geojson)
Application
When the option is activated, a window appears with several elements:
- A search bar
- A list of user cards
- A button to open a local map
Search bar
The search bar only appears if more than one e-mail address is available for the logged-in user.
Use the search bar to select a user from the drop-down list or by typing their e-mail address.
Selecting a user in this way displays a list of their cards in the user list.
List of user cards
The user map list displays maps stored by online users, as well as maps associated with their robots.
For each user in the list, we can find :
- personal folders and sub-folders with one or more cards inside
- a robots folder, containing all the robots assigned to it
- a button to create a new folder
For each folder in the list, several options are available:
- Archive folder contents (not available for archives and robots folders)
- Create a subfolder (not available for the robots folder and for each robot's folder)
- Delete folder and contents (not available for the robots folder and for each robot's folder)
- Refresh user cards
For each file in the list, several options are available:
- Archive the file
- Delete the file
- Rename the file
- Upload file
- Modify notes
What's more, clicking on a file automatically loads it into the application, if no file of the same name is already loaded.
Opening a local file
Once the button is pressed, a browser window opens, allowing you to select one or more files and import them into the application.
Once the files have been selected and validated, each card appears:
- On the map window centered on the loaded card
