Rank scheduling
Icon
How it works
This option lets you define or redefine the order in which rows are linked together, as well as their direction.
Caution: This option must be used before exporting the map to ensure correct rank chaining. Several EasyMapping options can alter this sequence (deleting or adding rows, splitting a row into several rows, etc.), so it is strongly recommended to use this option at the end of map processing.
This option is only available when at least one card is loaded in the application.
Application
When the option is clicked, a window appears, allowing you to select one of three scheduling methods:
- Automatic (selected by default)
- Manual
- With constraints
1. Automatic scheduling
The automatic scheduling method allows you to click on the map to select the side of the first row of the map.
The rows are then arranged so that :
- The 1st row is closest to the indicated point. Its direction is maintained
- The following rows are ordered from closest to furthest from the indicated point.
- Once the rows have been ordered, their direction is alternated, so that a row entry is placed on the same side as the previous row exit.
Click on REVERSE ALL ROWS to reverse the direction of all rows.
2. Manual scheduling
The manual scheduling method allows you to select a rank index using the arrows or user input (1 on screenshot). This rank is highlighted with a red filter and it is possible, using the corresponding options (2 on screenshot) to :
- change its index (by clicking on GO UP to increment or GO DOWN to decrement)
- change its direction (by clicking on RETURN)
- delete it by clicking on the delete icon
3. Constrained scheduling
The constrained scheduling method allows you to select rows and impose a direction on them based on that of the 1st row:
- Rows checked in the “original direction “ list are highlighted by a blue filter and will be in the direction of the 1st row.
- Rows ticked in the “reverse direction “ list are highlighted by an orange filter and will be in the opposite direction to the 1st row.
- When you click on the START button, all rows are ordered according to these constraints. It is not necessary to check all rows for this option to work. Unchecked rows are ordered in such a way as to apply the constraints to the other rows.
The rank order filter can be activated in the menu for maps.
The o keyboard shortcut also starts the tool.
