Simplifying the trajectory

Some tool functions are only available in expert mode

This option allows you to reduce the number of points on a map to avoid overly large map files, and to limit processing time when editing the map in EasyMapping.

The option is only available when at least one map is loaded into the application.

When the option is started, a window opens, allowing the selection of several parameters:

• The map to be modified
• The simplification algorithm
• Distance tolerance between 2 points
• Maximum time difference between 2 points after simplification

A pre-setting is also available for LOW simplification.

This Pre-Setting, entered by default, is strongly recommended to reduce the number of points without reducing the quality of robot guidance.

To start simplification, click on SIMPLIFY.

Warning, selecting parameters other than the default ones may lead to over-simplification, which will reduce the size of the map but significantly impact robot guidance accuracy.

The S keyboard shortcut is also used to start the tool.
